Setting up locations are a key area for any project. By accurately reflecting the project site inside Field, you'll be able to create, manage and group issues by their location. This is a guide to setting up a great location tree on your project.
The Location Editor
Project admins can edit the project locations my navigating to the Locations tab in the left navigation bar.
All projects are created with a default location called Project Wide. You can edit this name by following the Edit Node instructions below.
A Location Node
A location node represents a location on site. All locations can be broken down into sub-locations. Your team can choose attach an issue to any level of location. Locations contain the following information:
Name: The name of your location
Short Code: A quick way to identify the location
Sub-location Grouping: Should the location contain sub-locations, this can used as a label for those locations. For example: a location representing a floor in a building might be called Level 1. Level might contain 5 different rooms. To let your team know that the sub-locations will be rooms, you can set the sub-location grouping to be titled Rooms.
