Understand the Report Completeness Indicator

Boost your Shift Report quality with the Report Completeness Indicator.

Shift Reports are a crucial document to allow teams to report and understand exactly what happened on site during a given shift.

The Report Completeness Indicator helps you improve your reporting by providing a score for each Shift Report. Below, we'll break down how to get a great score and create great Shift Reports.

There are six sections to the indicator:

The Basics

Every report needs to include the basic information about the shift to be useful to someone reading the report. These include

  • The report date
  • The report title
  • Weather information
  • At least one report of what happened (either a progress item or downtime)

Once you complete each of these items, you have the basics of your report in place.

💡 Top tip: A progress report needs to at least have a description, progress increment, unit and location to count towards the indicator.

People

The next key piece of information is about the people who were present on site. By adding information about the people on shift, you will increase the score further.

💡 Top tip: You need to add at least the name, role, organisation and hours to achieve an improved score for having people information.

Equipment

Add information about the equipment that was used on site to increase your score further.

💡 Top tip: You need to add at least the description, quantity and hours to achieve an improved score for adding equipment to your report.

Evidence

You can really improve your report by adding evidence to the facts you report in your shift report. For every progress, downtime or delay report you add, you can score more points by adding evidence to each one.

To do this, go to any item and click attach. From here you can either upload from your device or choose from the project gallery.

Allocations

Finally, you can get an even better score by allocating the resources in your report to either the progress or downtime & delay items.

To do this, go to any item in the People, Equipment or Material sections and then click Allocate. From here you can then select from the progress and downtime reports in your Shift Report.
